FAQs

Is the wedding really on a Monday? Is that a typo?

It really is a Monday! We hope you can still join us and celebrate.

What should I wear, and is there a dress code?

The dress code is festive semi-formal, sorry that means no jeans! We love your unique style though, and your bolo tie, cowboy boots, or artful makeup are welcome. This is the day to wear that fun jumpsuit, that flirty dress, that silk shirt you’ve been saving for just the right occasion. Wear something you feel fabulous in. The ceremony will take place on a lawn, and there is access to the rocky, PNW beach, so choose your shoes accordingly!

What time should I arrive?

3:30 PM, the ceremony will begin at 4 o’clock in the afternoon.

How do I get to Kiana Lodge?

If you’re coming from the Seattle side, you can choose whether you want to take a ferry or drive south through Tacoma. If you decide to take a ferry over, please note that the lines can get pretty long in the summer time and plan to get to the ferry terminal long before it is scheduled to depart. That might mean arriving one or two ferries before the one you plan to take! Check here for Ferry wait times. If you drive south around Lake Washington, through Tacoma, it’s a longer drive but you won’t need to account for the ferry.

See here for Kiana Lodge’s driving directions.

What is the parking situation?

There is free parking provided by Kiana Lodge on site. If you are staying at the Clearwater Resort, and would like to join the shuttle to and/or from Kiana Lodge, please contact Rinneke or Michele and we’ll add you to our shuttle headcount.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

The ceremony takes place on a grass lawn. There is a set of 4 steps, but there are other paved paths without steps down to the event spaces. You can take a virtual tour of most of the space here to prepare for the event.

What’s the situation with COVID-19?

We’re glad you asked and appreciate the efforts from all of you to keep each other safe and healthy. Many of our guests are older or more vulnerable to Covid-19 and its variants, so we ask all our guests to attend fully-vaccinated when possible. If you have a health condition that prevents you from being able to safely receive the vaccine dose(s), you may still attend so long as you have tested negative within 72 hours. We ask that everyone please come prepared with a mask or two. We’ll have extra masks if you forget yours. Check back here for updates as we get closer to The Big Day.

UPDATE 8/11: Good Afternoon everyone. Kiana lodge just called and stated that Poulsbo and surrounding area has gone back to a mask mandate. Basically we are required to wear a mask indoors at all time except eating and drinking, first dance, and important photos. We will be wearing masks on the dance floor. Outside we are fine to not wear mask/it’s up to us! Break out your best masks!

What is the bar and drinks situation?

There will be beer, wine, champagne and non-alcoholic beverages provided at the bar. Liquor and mixed drinks will be available for guests to purchase. Kiana Lodge does not allow outside alcohol on the property. Leave that flask at home!

What is the cannabis/marijuana situation?

While we are in Washington State, Kiana Lodge is on Suquamish Tribal land and we are guests there. The possession or use of any cannabis is prohibited on the Kiana Lodge property, and we ask that all our guests follow this rule. Failure to comply will result in immediate cancellation of our wedding. Leave that joint, that edible gummy, and yes even that medical cannabis at home! You can legally enjoy all the cannabis that Washington has to offer off the Kiana Lodge property, in the days before and after our wedding.

What kind of food will be served?

There will be passed appetizers, a buffet-style dinner with several options, and cake and macarons for dessert.

What do we call you? Will last names be changing after the wedding?

You can call both of us Brides! Annah’s pronouns are she/hers, and Frances’ are they/them. We will be Mrs. Annah Anderooij and Mx. Frances Anderooij.

Can I bring a date?

Yes, please let us know their name and any dietary restrictions when RSVPing

Can I bring my kids?

We love the children of our friends and family but due to the late and alcoholic nature of this event we have decided to have a child free wedding. Any guests under the age of 21 are the responsibility of the 21+ adults in their party. We want you to be in party celebration mode, so leave the kids at home!

Will there be dancing?

Yes! Get ready to get your boogie on!

Is there a gifts registry?

Yes, you can find it here.

What about gifts not on the registry?

We’ll love your unique homemade, thrifted, secondhand, or small business gifts! Please send any gifts to this address:

Annah + Frances
12840 76th Ave. NE
Kirkland, WA 98034

Can I take pictures?

We will be having an unplugged ceremony, please keep your phones and cameras put away. Don’t worry, all the memories will be captured by our incredible photographer, Amanda K. White. After the ceremony, feel free to take your phones out and snap away!
