How it all began
We met in chemistry class at Western Washington University. And we also happened to live in the same dorm. Frances was great at chemistry but Annah was terrible so they offered to tutor Annah. Next thing we knew, we were hanging out everyday. The years have blissfully flown by.
Our proposal story is great. Annah planned a whole day in which we went back to the town we met. We got brunch and Annah sneakily bought flowers. We walked to the chemistry building and had a little picnic on the front lawn. All this time Frances was none the wiser. Annah pulled out a beautiful handmade card, read it out loud, asking Frances to marry her while dragonflies flew around us.
That week we went to our jeweler and designed our engagement rings. Several weeks later, when they were finally made and in our hands, Frances planned to propose back. During our engagement photos, and rings in hand, Frances got down on one knee and asked Annah to marry them.
“Frances is the greatest thing in my life right now. Any way that I need help, they will try to help. These past years together have been a swirl of laughs and ups and downs. I can’t wait to sit back and reflect and laugh about life when we are old and wrinkly.”

“I love my incredible, beautiful, brilliant fiancée so much, she is truly a light in the darkness. The past year and a half have really tested us, hitting those downs of the “ups and downs”. She stuck by me when I was miserably unemployed for 9 months, the most supportive and loving partner I could ask for, pushing me to keep trying with rejection after rejection. Then, as I was finally starting my new job, the world began to experience the covid-19 pandemic. We’ve been holed up together in our cozy apartment together with our pets, and as hard as it’s been, I feel so lucky to be together. I can’t wait to make you my wife.”

And the rest is history
Here are some photos of us over the years.
